Installing and Setting Up an IPTV Player
GWN TV works with compatible IPTV players that support Xtream Codes or a similar login method. This guide explains the general setup process without depending on one specific player.
Note: Menu names vary between players. Look for options such as Add Playlist, Add User, Xtream Codes, Login, or Add Service.
Before You Begin
Make sure you have:
- A compatible streaming device, television, phone, tablet, or computer
- A working internet connection
- An IPTV player installed
- Your GWN TV server address
- Your GWN TV username
- Your GWN TV password
Usernames and passwords are case-sensitive. Enter all login details exactly as they were provided.
Step 1: Install an IPTV Player
Install a compatible IPTV player from the app store, software source, or installation method supported by your device.
Once installation is complete, open the player.
Step 2: Choose the Correct Login Type
When adding your GWN TV service, look for one of the following options:
- Xtream Codes
- Xtream Codes API
- Login with Username and Password
If your player offers several setup methods, use the Xtream Codes-style login unless GWN TV Support tells you otherwise.
Step 3: Enter Your GWN TV Details
Enter:
Server Address:
Enter the server address exactly as provided.
Username:
Enter your GWN TV username exactly as provided.
Password:
Enter your GWN TV password exactly as provided.
If the player asks for a service name, playlist name, or profile name, you can use:
GWN TV
Step 4: Connect and Let the Player Load
Select the option to connect, log in, add the service, or save the profile.
The player may need some time to load:
- Live TV channels
- Channel groups
- TV guide information
- Movies and series, if included with your service
Allow the player to finish loading before assuming the setup has failed.
If the Login Fails
If the player says the login is invalid or cannot connect:
- Check the server address carefully.
- Check the username carefully.
- Check the password carefully.
- Make sure there are no extra spaces before or after any field.
- Remember that usernames and passwords are case-sensitive.
- Force close the player.
- Wait 10 seconds.
- Open the player again and try once more.
How to Force Close the Player
Simply backing out of the player or returning to the home screen may leave it running in the background.
Use your device's app settings or recent-app controls to fully stop the player.
- Force close the IPTV player.
- Wait 10 seconds.
- Open the player again.
- Try the login or setup again.
If Channels Load but Will Not Play
If the player accepts your login but channels do not play:
- Try two or three different channels.
- Force close the player.
- Wait 10 seconds.
- Open the player and try again.
- If necessary, restart the streaming device.
- If unplugging the device, leave it unplugged for at least 30 seconds before reconnecting it.
If the problem affects all channels, see the Common Playback Problems guide.
If the App Store Does Not Have Your Preferred Player
Some devices do not offer every IPTV player in their built-in app store.
If your preferred player is unavailable:
- Check whether the developer provides an official installation method for your device.
- Use another compatible IPTV player if necessary.
- Contact GWN TV Support if you are unsure which type of player your device supports.
Only install apps from sources you trust. Avoid random download sites, modified apps, or unknown APK files.
Moving Your Account to Another Device
You can normally add your GWN TV account to another compatible device, but your simultaneous connection limit still applies.
- Stop playback on the old device.
- Force close the IPTV player on the old device.
- Set up the GWN TV account on the new device.
- Start playback and test a few channels.
Before Contacting Support
